Internet of Things Based Controller of a Three Phase Induction Motor Using a Variable Frequency Driver
Description
Internet of Things Based Controller of a Three Phase Induction Motor Using a Variable Frequency Driver
Abstract
In this project , we can monitor the temperature , vibration and speed of the Three phase induction motor using a variable Frequency driver. NodeMcu ESP8266 used as a main controller. The speed of the Induction motor can be varied by using Mobile app. The temperature and vibration levels of the motor can be monitored by DHT22 and SW-420 sensors. The data’s are monitored by the controller and sent to the cloud. So the mobile app access and monitor the induction motor via the wifi network. If any abnormal values exists, the motor will be turned OFF. Controlling the motor over the WIFI network is easy and flexible.
Proposed system
In this system , NodeMcu is connected with variable Frequency driver to produce the differential frequencies. The user can monitor the Induction motor by the mobile app, if the user want to change the speed of the rotation of the motor or turn off/on the motor, the user can done with Mobile app. The another disturbing factors of motors like temperature and vibrations also monitored by the user. If any abnormal value exists , the user can turn Off the motor anytime by the Mobile app . this will increase the efficiency of the induction motor.
