ABSTRACT

There is two technique to detect an object, Static and Dynamic from which tracking the object when it is moving. The system is kept constant as static, it will capture the video and by using the computer vision technology, the system will track the moving object. The system at existing, which will track the object based on color, but this system, enables the camera to track the moving object using Open CV.

In the above Block diagram, Raspberry Pi is used as the core system, where the camera is connected to the Raspberry Pi to perform image processing.

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Raspberry Pi system, which is capable of performing any kind of image processing applications using Open CV, with the help of any type of camera which is interfaced with Raspberry Pi. The camera is kept static at certain location faces the area, which will detect the additional entry by comparing each frame to the previous frame to detect and track the moving object which comes into the frame.

  • HDMI to VGA converter (optional, when connecting to Monitor)
  • Camera

  • SD Card Formatter
  • Win32 Disk Imager (or) Etcher

  • Time library (For Delay functions)

 

CONCLUSION

Thus the moving object detecting system is used for surveillance the home when we are out from home. It will track the moving object or person which can be reported to the admin.
