IoT based Smart currency counter

Abstract

              We all know that Internet of Things(IoT) is a most trending technology nowadays . IoT is nothing but a machine to machine communication, where we can access those machines where ever from the world using network connection. So , we have developed a project on IoT based smart currency counter . In this project , we are using NodeMCU ESP8266 , which provides a low cost IoT platform.  To count the currencies , we are using colour sensor , which senses the colour of the note and shows a value of that note. These values will displayed in LCD display. We are using IR sensor to check the presence of currency. These currency values will automatically updated in Thingspeak cloud . So the users can access these data’s from anywhere in the world.

Existing system

• Currency counting machines are the mechanical or electrical machines , which counts the currencies and coins.
• But we can’t access these data’s from anywhere.

Proposed system

• In this project , We are using colour sensor to detect the colour of the money and IR sensor to detect the presence of money.
• These values will displayed in LCD display
• NodeMCU ESP8266 is the main controller and these values will updated in the Thingspeak cloud periodically.
