Description
IOT Based Smart Garbage Monitoring System Using ZigBee
Abstract
An IoT based smart garbage monitoring system involves , monitoring the level of the dustbins using sensors frequently. If once the dustbin is filled up, the controller sends the notifications to the respective employees with GPS location. So the higher officials get notified and they can monitor and track of the employees. It will improves the city clean and avoids the unwanted garbages in roadside. This system also uses solar panels which is a renewable enegy source. This system consists of NodeMCU ,Zigbee , GPS , Ultrasonic sensors. The dustbins are monitored using mobile app.So, we can get the alert at any time.
Proposed system
- Internet of Things is the network of physical device such as sensors, home appliances etc. By using IoT we can make the Smart garbage Monitorig system. In this system , we are havin child node(Transmitter) and parent node(Receiver).Child node and parent node connected via the Zigbee communication.
- Child Node consists of arduino pro mini, Zigbee module ,Ultrasonic sensor, solar panel.
- Parent node consists of arduino nano,Zigbee module, ultrasonic sensors , Nodemcu ESP8266 and solar panel for uninterrupted power supply.
- Child node sends the data to the parent node via the Zigbee module, it is used to send the huge data’s. Ultrasonic sensor is used to measure the level of garbage filled in the dustbin. If it is filled up , it will sends the notification to the respective employees with GPS location . This will help them to identify the location of the particular area,.
- Blynk app is used to monitor the data,s from the sensor’s.
- Notifiacations will be sent using IFTTT.
