Description

Image fusion refers to the process of combining the information from two or more images into a single highly informative image. The resulting fused image contains more information than the input images. In this project, two medical images are fused based on the Wavelet Transform (WT) and Curvelet transform using different fusion techniques. The objective of the fusion of an MR image and CT image of the same organ is to obtain a single image containing as much information as possible about that organ for diagnosis .In this paper ,the input CT and MR images are registered and wavelet and curvelet transforms are applied on it. Finally, the results are evaluated using fusion techniques. The parameters like PSNR, CCR and MSE are evaluated.
