In this project, we have developed a Web document Scanner using OpenCV and Python. This project invloves not only an image capture, but also edge detection and perspective transformation.
For Building a document scanner with OpenCV,
- Detect edges.
- Use the edges in the image to find the contour (outline) representing the piece of paper being scanned.
- Apply a perspective transform to obtain the top-down view of the document.
