Description

Abstract

The RFID technology is used to find the position of the objects. The RFID reader is attached to the robot to detect RFID tags. The entire RFID tag information tag number will store on the database. By using Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) from the RFID tag, The RFID readers can detect the position of the object and based on the Bluetooth we can detect the robot. UHF (Ultra High Frequency) RFID readers and tags have used that help to detect more than one tag at a time. The IR (Infrared Radio) sensor is used to follow the path the robot will move based on the predefined path .by using a predefined path, it will improve the efficiency and the robot takes less time to find the object. We are using an Ultrasonic sensor for detecting obstacles on the path and produce sound upon detecting an obstacle. The main focus of this work is to develop an RFID mobile robot with a Bluetooth module to detect objects. The data will be stored in the PC through the Bluetooth module. By using a predefined ID number for the tags, we can search any object using that ID. We know what objects are currently available in the industry. It will take less time to find objects in any real-time industrial environment where different goods are dispersed over a wide area.

Existing System

It is a mobile robot consist of Barcode reader technology while the mobile robot is moving along the predefined path by using IR and motion sensors. The reader will detect the tag and send the information to the controller. Then the controller will check whether the tab ID and barcode will match or not. If it’s a match then it moves forward or if it’s mismatch then it checks the position of the tag and gives an indication. Then someone will take that tag to the original position.

Proposed System

We replace the barcode technology in the existing system with RFID tag and wired communication with wireless technology and also there is an obstacle detection sensor for detecting the obstacles Using an ultrasonic sensor and IR sensors are used to move the robot in the predefined path.

An identification number is given for each and every tag and each tag is attached to one of the products. Those products are placed on a predefined map. An RFID reader is placed on the mobile robot. The reader gives a radio signal to the tag, then the tag consumes that radio signal and gives a modulated signal that consists of information identification number of that tag. Then the reader sends that information to the web page through the Bluetooth module .already we update the product details like product name, room number.etc., in the database. after getting the tag ID, it shows the product details. so that we can easily find that product in the warehouse. From the control room, by entering the IDs we can track the products. after delivering that product, the details of that product will automatically be deleted from the database.

Conclusion

we successfully designed a robot. We already assign a unique ID for each and every tag. In the database, we already store the tag details I.e.,the product name(the tag will attach to one of the product), room number(that product should belong to that room)the RFID reader tries to read the RFID tag .if any tag within the range then the reader reads the tag ID and immediately sends the ID information to the database. if the data matches then the product is at the correct position or else it sends a message to the registered number.so that, we can place that product in the correct position. meanwhile, if an obstacle is detected by the ultrasonic sensor then it stops and gives a buzzer sound. By using an IR sensor, the following the predefined path and reaches the already dispersed tags. After detecting the tag, the reader sends the information to the user by using Bluetooth technology. The ultrasonic sensor will detect the obstacles on the path. This method is useful for real-time large industries to detect the product in less time.
