By using this device Miniature wheelchair gets controlled, which will be mainly helpful for the paralyzed people to control their wheel chair since they cannot move physically.

Brain controlled Home Automation

A brain-computer interface (BCI) is a new communication channel between the human brain and a digital computer. The ambitious goal of a BCI is finally the restoration of movements, communication and environmental control for handicapped people. An electroencephalogram (EEG) based brain-computer interface was connected with a Virtual Reality system in order to control a smart home application. It offers an alternative to natural communication and control. It is an artificial system that bypasses the body’s normal efficient pathways, which are the neuromuscular output channels.

Brain controlled home automation system using Raspberry Pi

In our society there are more people suffered by paralytic diseases causes them several disabilities like they are unable to talk and unable to move physically and unable to express their everyday basic needs, but they can still use their eyes and sometimes move their heads. This Project is working under the principle of Brain-Computer Interface (BCI).

Our model helps them to operate home appliances by having eye blink. This system is having a core system as Raspberry Pi, However, the appliances can be chosen by having priority for appliances. In this application. Appliances are switched on by having one blink and switched off by making double blink. In this system, priority as an order of light, fan, and Tv. We can operate more appliances by giving furthermore order of priorities.

Inspired by the Technology used by Great scientist Stephen Hawking, which made that completely Paralyzed man to do every basic thing. Here, BCI will make every paralyzed people to do their every basic needs like they can control their Wheel chair, they can control Home appliance and can ask for basic help like Food, water, Restrooms etc. and also can able to write heir feelings in virtual keyboard using their eyeblinks which extracted from Brain waves.

Brain parameter analysis with Brainsense using Matlab

There are many Biosignal, which can be obtained from our human body, among that EEG (Electroencephalography) wave which is obtained from the Brain. EEG is the wave, which is generated by the electrical activity, which is happening in our Neurons. There are Five EEG Bands which lies in different frequencies they are,

  • DELTA – 0 to 3 Hertz Frequency
  • THETA – 3 to 8 Hertz
  • ALPHA -8 to 12 Hertz
  • BETA – 12 to 27 Hertz
  • GAMMA – 27 to 100 Hertz of Frequency

EEG Based Blink Talk using Brainsense

This study suggests new methods for improvements in both speed and ease of use for brainwave headset to detect eye blink We propose a method using “BLINK TALK” which solves their problem by making them to communicate. It use Brain sense headset ,patient can blink to choose each letters and to form a sentence, which is then converted to speech using text to speech converter.

Eyeblink controlled virtual keyboard using Raspberry Pi and BrainSense

In our society there are more people suffered by paralytic diseases causes them several disabilities like they are unable to talk and unable to move physically and unable to express their everyday basic needs, but they can still use their eyes and sometimes move their heads. This Project is working under the principle of Brain-Computer Interface (BCI)

Our model helps them to type the letters using the virtual keyboard, which is displayed in the monitor, designed using python programming. This system is having core system as Raspberry Pi. The virtual keyboard contains alphabets, numbers and some punctuations. Mouse pointer gets automatically shifted through every key, characters can be chosen by making an eye blink at a particular position of mouse pointer at a certain character.
