ABSTRACT

In most place security surveillance camera is turned off because of the insufficient storage, It causes more trouble when some disaster occurs. To prevent from storage problems we are developing this Raspberry Pi project with a camera which takes video with time-lapse technology for storage optimization, based on our storage video features are optimizable.

BLOCK DIAGRAM DESCRIPTION

 The camera is connected with the Raspberry Pi through USB/Pi camera interfaces. The monitor is connected to the Raspberry Pi using VGA to HDMI converter.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

To optimize the storage facilities in surveillance system, this Raspberry Pi project is developed with motion-based time-lapse camera to have better optimization on storage, which the system having fast frame rate when there is no motion in the Road, if there is motion in the area’s camera gets automatically optimized to  have slow frame rate of video to capture the motions. This makes highly optimized storage for camera footage storage

CONCLUSION

This Raspberry Pi based lime lapse camera makes better storage facilities for the surveillance system.
