Abstract:

                   Security has always been an important issue in the home and other applications. A remote home security system offers many more benefits apart from keeping home owners, and their property, safe from intruders. The system is a low power consumption security alarm system developed by applying WSN and Wi-Fi technology. The system is composed of the microcontroller based wireless sensor network center node with wi-Fi, data collecting node, device control node and mobile phone. The wireless sensor network data collecting node module is connected with Raspberry pi. The PIR can detect the theft and send alarm message remotely.

                   The Raspberry Pi is a credit card sized single computer or SoC uses ARM Cortex A-53 core. SoC, or System on a Chip, is a method of placing all necessary electronics for running a computer on a single chip. Instead of having an individual chip for the CPU, GPU, USB controller, RAM everything is compressed down into one tidy package. Raspberry Pi needs an Operating system to start up. In the aim of cost reduction, the Raspberry Pi omits any on-board non-volatile memory used to store the boot loaders, Linux Kernels and file systems as seen in more traditional embedded systems. Rather, a SD/MMC card slot is provided for this purpose. After boot load, as per the application program Raspberry Pi will get execute.

Block Diagram Explanation :

                         Here a multi-layer home security system (HSS) has been developed which maintains four levels of security and necessary control responses against unwanted burglars and intruders. As a part of this development, the first security level uses Near Field Communication (NFC) tag, the second level uses a secured PIR sensor and the third level uses way2sms with help of Wi-Fi. After that, Mobile App embedded with the proposed security system via Bluetooth communication.
