In the theory of computation, a Moore machine is a finite-state machine whose output values aredetermined only by its current state. This is in contrast to a Mealy machine, whose output values are determined both by its current state and by the values of its inputs.
CPU, computer, cell phone, digital clock and even your washing machine have some kind of finite state machine in it, that controls it.
It is safer to use, because they change states on the clock edge (if you are using DFF logic forpresent and next state)
