ABSTRACT

Computer vision technology, which had an enormous number of applications to detect an obstacle, pedestrians. As the next level, we are using Open CV to count the moving object. Which is used for the applications like to make the number of counts, which is crossed, over the certain places.

In the above, block either diagram Camera is connected to the Raspberry Pi as wired or wireless.

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

A camera, which is connected to the Raspberry Pi, should be kept constant, so that object detection will be proper. Then if it detects the first obstacle, which is mismatched with the Background it initiates the count, by, having n number of an obstacle it will count the object.

 

HARDWARE REQUIRED

  • Raspberry Pi
  • Power Adapter
  • HDMI to VGA converter (optional, when connecting to Monitor)
  • Camera

SOFTWARE REQUIRED

  • SD Card Formatter
  • Win32 Disk Imager (or) Etcher

 

LIBRARIES USED

  • Time library (For Delay functions)
  • Cv2

 

CONCLUSION

This system can be implemented in the tollbooth to count the car, which crossed by or can be installed in any other counting based application like Trapping.
