  Technologies

Gigabit Ethernet:  
This is a new protocol that has been added to NetSim's library. The design is as per IEEE 802.3 z standard.

Wireless LAN 802.11 and 802.11g:
These are two new protocol variants of the IEEE 802.11 series of wireless standards. 802.11 a and 802.11 g support data rates of 54 mbps, improving upon the 11 Mbps that 802.11 b supports.

C- editor:
A new c-editor has been built where-by users can write and edit their C programs.

Compiler:
C-compiler has been integrated with Netsim for compilation of user code
  Modeling and Simulations

Node and Device Modeling:
Layer wise modeling of all parameters for network components and protocols.

Packet Trace:
Additional packet-level parameters can be stored in the simulation trace, thereby providing improved flexibility and filtering. Tab ordered writing for easy import into spreadsheet and database.

  performance Metrics

Hierarchical Reporting:
Hierarchical reporting has been introduced for users to view performance metrics at network, link and packet levels.

Utilization and Delay :
Performance has been aggregated to provide users with the two most basic metrics, Network Utilization and Packet Delay, for ease of understanding and comparison.

Network Statistics:
Additional network level statistic report has been provided which includes Utilization Report, Delay Report, Link Metrics and Network Statistics.
